You describe who you need to hear from. We match a researcher who can reach them, design the study, and send you what came back. Most projects finish inside three weeks.
Short structured conversations with people outside a store, on campus, or at an event. Best for first reactions and quick volume.
A researcher visits the places your customers work or shop and records what they see and hear.
Scheduled conversations with people in your target market, recruited and run for you, written up.
Target users put through your actual product on a standardized protocol, recorded and scored.
Professionals who are hard to reach: procurement managers, clinicians, brokers. Matched on verified access.
Researchers pitch your product face to face to the people it is for, then report back the reactions and objections they heard.
You book a half day or a full day of a matched researcher and the price covers everything: their time, their travel, the write-up, and whatever your participants are paid for sitting down with them. What moves the price is who the study has to reach. Stopping people outside a store is not the same job as getting a hospital's procurement lead on a call. FOLIO sets the tier when the project is scoped and it is on the listing before anyone applies.
| Tier | Who the study reaches | Half day | Full day |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | General public. Shoppers, commuters, students, event crowds, app users | $325 | $650 |
| 2 | Defined consumer segments. Parents of young children, recent movers, diaspora senders, gig drivers, small business owners | $490 | $975 |
| 3 | Workplace generalists. Marketers, recruiters, retail managers, teachers | $650 | $1,300 |
| 4 | Licensed and technical professionals. Engineers, accountants, clinicians, lawyers, pharmacists | $780 | $1,560 |
| 5 | Decision makers and regulated buyers. Procurement, compliance, hospital administrators, CTOs, fund managers | $1,040 | $2,080 |
Per researcher. A full day is six sessions at tiers 1 to 3 and four at tiers 4 and 5, because senior people are harder to book and talk for longer. The session count is on your listing.
| Tier | Who the study reaches | Half day | Full day |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | General public. Shoppers, commuters, students, event crowds | $130 | $260 |
| 2 | Defined consumer segments. Diaspora senders, gig drivers, small business owners, parents of young children | $195 | $390 |
| 3 | Workplace generalists, reached in the places they work | $260 | $520 |
Cheaper because nobody is booked in advance and nobody is paid for their time. Volume is the trade: a field researcher has a few hundred conversations in a day, not six.
On field marketing projects the researchers earn $10 for every sign-up they bring in, on top of the day rate. You set the cap when the project is scoped and it is shown to researchers before they accept, so your exposure is fixed and they know the ceiling. Interview and testing projects carry no bonus, because the quality of a session is not something to pay piece rates on.
Tier 1. $650.
Tier 2 field work. $2,730, plus sign-up bonuses to your cap.
Tier 5. $2,080.
Nothing is added later. Participant payments, travel and write-up time are already in the number.
Who they are, what you want to learn, how many sessions. The Research Assistant turns it into a brief.
Researchers name their qualifying contacts before applying, through their own networks or their university's. You pick from the shortlist.
Recordings and notes appear in your dashboard as each one finishes.
Transcripts coded and scored, and reviewed by FOLIO before anything reaches you.
Seven days to raise an issue before the payout clears to the researcher.
Our researchers are at universities, which is worth more than it sounds. Reaching a nurse, a procurement manager, a recent graduate or a small business owner is expensive to buy and straightforward for someone whose campus, alumni network, faculty and placement employers already contain them. Name the audience and we will tell you honestly whether we can reach it before you spend anything.
A trained researcher matched to your audience, working on FOLIO's method and tooling, supervised by us. Every output is reviewed before it reaches you.
The prices above are all-in. They cover the researcher's stipend, whatever your participants are paid, and FOLIO's 30% on top of both.
You have seven days after delivery to raise an issue. Nothing is released to the researcher until you accept.
Yes. The Research Assistant drafts the brief as soon as you post a project. The full study design tools open once the project is funded.
We come back within two business days with a brief, a matched researcher, and a price. Nothing is charged until you approve all three.
Describe the audience and set a budget. You see matched researchers before you commit a dollar.
